Four WhatsApp groups, three spreadsheets and a slip on the clubhouse door

The under-12 coach counts thumbs on Friday night, the youth officer collects tournament registrations by phone, the groundsman keeps the pitch bookings on a slip in the equipment shed, and the board hopes the invitation to the AGM does not drown among 200 messages. On tournament day someone works out the table on a calculator. Each of these problems is small – together they eat hours of volunteer time every week. The football club app brings them together in one place: fixtures with availability, tournaments with schedule and live table, online registration for guest clubs, pitch bookings, news and push – in one app with your crest and your colours that your people install with a single tap.

What your Football club app can do

Tournament planner with live table

Paste the teams, choose a format – groups + knockout, round robin, blitz or cup – and the schedule is ready, spread across several pitches. On the day, enter results in two taps; table, bracket and live score work themselves out, even with three-way ties.

Online registration for guest clubs

Enter the announcement, deadline and cap – friendly clubs register their team via link, no account needed. You confirm with one click, the team is in the schedule, everyone gets an e-mail. Full? Waiting list, automatically.

Availability for training and matches

Training Tuesday, training Thursday, match Saturday – set up once as a series. Everyone replies with one tap, no sign-up. Only those still open get reminded. By Friday lunchtime you know who is coming.

Car sharing without asking around

Drivers state their free seats; whoever needs a lift says so when replying. The app does the maths: "2 drivers, 5 seats – 2 need a lift". You see it before you stand at the meeting point.

Pitch bookings and training plan

Who trains when on which pitch? The booking plan shows the week per pitch, hall or team – with a today marker and season breaks. Maintained once, visible to everyone in the app. No more slip in the shed.

Push that gets through

Training cancelled, match moved, pitch closed: one push notification reaches everyone instantly. During tournaments parents follow their team and get results, table lead and schedule changes – bundled, not every second.

Match reports and news

After the tournament the app creates a news post with the winner and final table if you like – optionally as a push right away. Plus match reports, photo galleries and club news that stay in the app instead of sinking in the chat.

Coaches and helpers with their own access

The youth coach creates their own fixtures, the tournament helper enters results pitch-side – each with exactly the rights they need. Helpers at the touchline do not even need an account: one QR slip per pitch is enough.

Privacy that fits youth football

No player lists or scorers in youth tournaments, decline reasons for the coach only, no shared phone numbers, hosted in Germany, DPA included. Parents reply for their children with their own access.

Tournament planner

From the kitchen table to the trophy ceremony: tournament day

For many football clubs the club tournament is the event of the year – and organising it eats weekends. In the tournament planner you set up twelve teams in ten minutes: paste names, choose the format, state pitches and break rule, and the schedule is ready with a time grid across all pitches. No team plays twice in a row; every match can be moved by hand afterwards.

On the day the entry is built for outdoors: big targets, few taps, an undo strip for slips. If the network at the ground drops, entries wait and go out automatically once there is a connection again. Table, bracket and live score update for everyone – on the parents' phones, on the projector in the clubhouse and via a share link for everyone who is not there.

Everything about the tournament app

What is inside the tournament planner

  • Schedule generator for groups + knockout, round robin, blitz and cup – across several pitches, with a break rule.
  • Result in two taps or goal by goal as a live ticker; no-show, correction with reason, offline queue.
  • A table that is right – points, goal difference, head-to-head as a mini table, penalty shoot-out, drawing lots; a genuine tie is honestly shown as a shared place.
  • Helpers without an account – one QR slip per pitch, every entry logged, access revocable at any time.
  • Share link and A4 poster with QR code: schedule and live score in the browser, no app install.
  • Push to parents who follow their team – bundled over a 45-second window.
  • Result post, CSV export and a fixed tournament tab in your app that uses no page quota.

Online registration and tournament search

Guest clubs register themselves – entry fees stay your business

Registrations used to come by phone, e-mail and paper slip. Now you enter announcement, deadline, cap and age group in the tournament and send friendly clubs the ready-made WhatsApp text or the QR code for the registration link. The guest club registers its team in two minutes – no account, no app – and immediately gets a confirmation of receipt with a link to check the status or withdraw.

You see all registrations in the tournament, confirm with one click, put on the waiting list or decline with a short note. Confirmed teams are in the tournament immediately. And if you are still looking for teams, list the tournament publicly in the tournament search on baudir.app – invitation tournaments stay invisible.

Everything about tournament registration

How registration works

  • Announcement with entry fee, how to pay, format and catering – right on the registration page.
  • Deadline and cap – then automatically closed or waiting list; your own teams count.
  • Confirm, waiting list, decline – each with an automatic e-mail to the applicant.
  • Contact details of the contact person are visible to the tournament management only; deleted no later than 90 days after the tournament.
  • Tournament search on baudir.app/turniere – only if you explicitly list the tournament publicly.

Fixtures & availability

Who is coming on Saturday? The answer without a single WhatsApp poll

You set up the squad per team – names are enough, phone and e-mail are optional. Everyone gets a personal link with a ready-made invitation text, taps it once, and their phone recognises them from then on. No account, no password. Training and matches you create as a series: every Tuesday and Thursday 6:30 pm until the end of the season, holidays as exceptions.

Yes, no, maybe – three big buttons. Whoever declines can add a reason that only the coach sees. Only those who have not replied yet get reminded, at most three times per fixture and bundled when several are open. Parents reply for their children through their own access, even across teams. And coaches create their fixtures themselves – with their own access that allows exactly that.

Everything about the team app

What the coach gets

  • Recurring fixtures for training and matches, individually movable or cancellable, holidays as exceptions.
  • Reply in one tap – yes, no, maybe; declining stays possible even after the deadline.
  • Car sharing – drivers state free seats, passengers state their need, the app adds it up.
  • Reminders for open replies only, with a daily limit and bundling – nobody mutes the app in annoyance.
  • Parent access for children in several teams; the list shows the child with a note.
  • Visibility per team: full list, numbers only or own reply only. Attendance rate only if you switch it on.
  • Calendar export for everyone – fixtures only, no names or replies.

Pitch bookings & fixtures

Who trains when on which pitch – and when do the under-14s play?

The booking plan is a block for your app: pitches, halls or teams as columns, recurring weekly slots as entries, plus season breaks and a today marker. Maintained once, everyone in the app sees when pitch 2 is free and when the first team's floodlight slot starts. The slip in the equipment shed has had its day.

For match operations there are the blocks "Next fixtures" and "Fixture list": they show the upcoming matches and training sessions from "Fixtures & availability" right on a page of your app – for parents, grandparents and fans who are not in the squad but still want to know where the under-14s play on Saturday.

Blocks for match operations

  • Booking plan – weekly plan per pitch, hall or group, with season breaks and a today marker.
  • Next fixtures – the upcoming matches and training sessions, automatically from the team fixtures.
  • Fixture list – all matches of a team at a glance, public for fans and parents.
  • Tournament (live) – schedule, live score and table of the running tournament on any page.
  • Map & directions, contact, clubhouse opening hours – the blocks every club app needs.

News, push & match reports

One message, everyone knows – without group chaos

Training cancelled because of a storm, match moved, pitch closed, invitation to the AGM: one push notification reaches everyone who has your app on their phone – instantly, without anyone scrolling through a group. Fixture messages from "Fixtures & availability" and tournament pushes do not count against your weekly quota.

After the tournament the app creates a result post with the winner and final table on request and sends it as a push right away. Match reports, photo galleries and club news stay findable in the app – instead of sinking in the chat after two days. With Premium you schedule messages in advance, for example the home match reminder for Saturday 9 am.

How the message gets through

  • Push to everyone who has installed the app – for cancellations, changes, invitations.
  • Tournament push with audience: parents follow their team and only get what concerns them.
  • Result post with winner and final table – one click after the last match.
  • Scheduled messages (Premium) – for example the home match reminder in the morning.
  • Honest about the Free plan: push is limited to one message per week there – fixture and tournament messages come with Premium.

The whole app

Sponsors, members area, forms – everything else a club needs

A football club app is more than fixtures and tournaments. In the builder you click together the pages your club needs: sections and teams, board and contacts, directions with a map, membership fee info, a contact form for newcomers, a photo gallery from the summer party. Sponsors get their own block with a logo wall – finally a place sponsors actually see.

For minutes, statutes and member information there is a password-protected area: pages with an access code in which PDF files are protected too. What sits there is seen only by members with the code – not by the public and not by Google.

Blocks clubs use

  • Sponsor wall with logos and links – visible on every phone in the club.
  • Password-protected members area with an access code, including protected PDF downloads (minutes, statutes).
  • Contact form for trial training and newcomers, with spam protection and no cookie banner.
  • Map & directions, contact, opening hours – clubhouse, ground, office.
  • Photo gallery, video, countdown to the season start, tables, price lists – more than 20 blocks.
  • A page for every section: youth, women, veterans – with their own contacts.

People & access

The board does not have to maintain everything itself

Many hands work in a football club: the youth coach should create their own fixtures, the tournament helper enter results, the press officer write news – but nobody should rebuild the app by accident. That is why there are sub-accounts with clear rights: "Fixtures & availability", "Tournaments", "Content", "People" or "Club details", combinable individually. You send the invitation via WhatsApp or e-mail; everyone sets their own password.

Helpers at the touchline do not even need an account: per pitch you create a QR slip, the helper scans it and enters results. The access is valid for this tournament only, can be revoked at any time, and every entry is logged with the access.

Who may do what

  • Coach – right "Fixtures & availability" plus team assignment: creates training and matches and reads the replies.
  • Tournament management – right "Tournaments": create tournaments, generate schedules, handle registrations.
  • Press officer – right "Content": maintain news, photos and pages without seeing the settings.
  • Helpers without an account – QR slip per pitch, result entry only, for this tournament only.
  • Board – the main account keeps the overview; every change is traceable.

Privacy & youth football

Built for clubs with children and teenagers

A youth football club processes data of minors – which is why some things are deliberately not in the app: tournaments have no player lists and no scorers, only teams, matches and results. Decline reasons are seen by the coach only, contact details of staff never appear in the app, and the attendance rate is off by default with an explicit warning when switching it on.

The app runs without WhatsApp and without shared phone numbers: everyone gets a personal link, no parent has to give their number to a group of 40 strangers. Hosted exclusively in Germany, no data transfer to Meta or Google, DPA included – and the app generates imprint and privacy policy for your club as well.

GDPR-compliant alternative to the WhatsApp group

The promises in short

  • No player lists, no scorers in youth tournaments – teams, matches, results only.
  • Decline reasons and contact details are seen only by the coach or the tournament management.
  • Personal links instead of a WhatsApp group: no shared phone numbers.
  • Hosted in Germany, encrypted, no tracking, no cookie banner needed.
  • Imprint, privacy policy and DPA are generated for your club – including the tournament and registration paragraphs.
  • Automatic retention periods for availability data and tournament registrations.

Frequently asked questions about the Football club app

What does the app cost for our football club?

You start for free, without a credit card, and the app stays online for free permanently. Pages, news, booking plan, fixture block, sponsor wall and one push notification per week are included in the Free plan. Tournament planner with online registration, "Fixtures & availability" with squads and reminders, scheduled pushes and statistics belong to the Premium plan – no surcharge per team or tournament, cancellable monthly. The trial includes all Premium features, so you can run a complete tournament before you decide.

We have twelve teams from under-7s to veterans – does that work?

Yes. Every team gets its own squad, its own fixtures and its own coach access; one person can be in several squads. Parents with children in different teams see all fixtures in one list. The app itself stays one – with your crest and pages per section. There is no limit on teams or fixtures.

Can guest clubs register for our tournament online?

Yes. In the tournament you switch on online registration, enter announcement, deadline and cap and share the link – as a ready-made WhatsApp text or QR code. Guest clubs register their team without an account, you confirm with one click, everyone gets an e-mail. If the tournament is full there is an automatic waiting list. Entry fees stay between the clubs. Still looking for teams? List the tournament in the tournament search on baudir.app.

Does the app really get the table right – even with equal points?

Yes, in a configurable order: points, goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head, penalty shoot-out, drawing lots. The head-to-head is calculated as its own mini table over exactly the teams on equal points, as the associations intend. If a genuine tie remains, the app shows the place as shared instead of claiming a winner – and asks for the bracket who goes through.

Can coaches create their own fixtures?

Yes. The coach gets a sub-account with the right "Fixtures & availability" and their team – you send them the ready-made invitation via WhatsApp or e-mail, they set their password and can create training and matches immediately, also as a series. The personal link players receive is not enough for that: it only allows replying.

Do players and parents need an account?

No. Everyone gets a personal link, taps it once and their phone recognises them from then on – no password, no sign-up, no e-mail required. Parents get their own access and reply for their children. Whoever changes phones gets a new link from the coach in two clicks.

Does the app replace our WhatsApp groups?

For everything organisational: yes. Fixtures with availability, cancellations by push, tournament score live, match reports as news – without anyone having to give their phone number to a group of 40 strangers. What remains is the banter: that still belongs in the chat. The app takes over what the group fails at – counting, searching, asking around.

Do we need an app store account or someone technical?

No. The app is a progressive web app: it is added to the home screen via a QR code or link (iPhone via Safari, Android via Chrome) and then sits with your crest next to the other apps. No Apple or Google account, no upload, no waiting for approval. Even if nobody at the club can code.

Is the app privacy-compliant for youth teams?

It is built for that. Tournaments have no player lists and no scorers, only teams and results. Decline reasons are seen by the coach only, contact details of staff never appear in the app, the attendance rate is off by default. Hosted exclusively in Germany, no data transfer to Meta or Google, DPA included. The app generates imprint and privacy policy for your club – with the paragraphs on availability, tournaments and online registration.

Can we show our sponsors?

Yes, with the "Sponsors" block: logos with links on a page of your app – or on every page if you like. For sponsors that is more interesting than the pitch-side board: the app sits on every member's phone, and the sponsor is one tap away.

Is this a membership management system with fee collection?

No, and we prefer to say so upfront: BauDir is the app for everyday life with players, parents and fans – fixtures, availability, tournaments, news, push. Membership management, fee collection and association reporting stay in your existing software. You can link fee information and the membership form in the app or create them as a page.

How do clubs find our tournaments – and we theirs?

Through the tournament search on baudir.app/turniere: it lists all tournaments a club has explicitly listed publicly and that currently accept registrations – with sport, age group, date, venue, free spots and deadline, filterable. You can register for other clubs' tournaments there yourself, without a BauDir account. Your own tournament only appears if you set it to "public".
