No more counting thumbs-up

Friday night, 22 messages in the group, three thumbs, one “I’m in 👍”, two “sorry, work” – and somewhere in between the question of whether Ali can give someone a lift. In the end the coach counts by hand and still gets it wrong. With the team app you create the event once; everyone gets it on their phone and replies with one tap: yes, no or unsure. You see the four lists at any time – in, out, unsure, still open – and who can take whom along.

What your Team app can do

One tap to reply

Three big buttons, nothing else. Anyone who declines can add a reason – only the coach ever sees it, never the squad. Declining stays possible after the deadline: the boy who wakes up ill at 7:40 on Saturday still has to be able to say so.

No sign-up, no password

Everyone gets a personal link – tap it once from WhatsApp and you are done. After that their device recognises them. No accounts, no passwords, no email required. And if someone changes phones, the coach issues a new link in two taps.

Reminders only to those still open

Anyone who has replied hears nothing more. Only people who are still open get a reminder – at most three per event and day, and whoever is open for several events gets ONE message instead of four. This is exactly where such systems usually die.

Recurring events in one go

Every Tuesday and Thursday at 18:30 until the end of the season – entered once. Individual dates can be moved or cancelled without touching the series, and holidays are taken out as exceptions.

Lifts without asking around

Whoever drives says how many seats are free; whoever needs a lift says so too. The app does the maths: “2 drivers, 5 seats – 2 people need a lift.” If it does not add up, you see it before you are standing at the meeting point.

Parents reply for their children

A parent with two children in two squads needs exactly one link and sees both lists in one. Your list shows the child – with an honest note that the parents replied.

Privacy that fits youth work

Per squad you decide what members see of each other: the whole list, numbers only, or just their own reply. Reasons for declining and contact details are never visible to another member. The attendance rate is OFF by default – with minors it would be a performance assessment. Replies are deleted automatically after the retention period you choose.

Events in your own calendar

Everyone pulls their events into their phone calendar with one tap – next to work, school and the dentist. That way you spot a clash before you accept. The calendar contains events only: no names, no replies.

For everything without a ball, too

Fire brigade watch, chamber choir, theatre group, parents’ council, the Ladybird group: the routine is always the same – a fixed group, a recurring date, who is coming? Only the wording changes.

Ready in 3 steps

1

Create squad and roster

Enter the names – that is all it takes. Phone number and email are optional; only enter what you really need.

2

Hand out the links

Every person gets a personal link with a ready-made invitation text – as a message or as a QR sheet for the dressing-room locker. The roster shows how many have opened their access already.

3

Create events and read off the answers

Enter a match, a training session or another event, as a series if you like. Push and email go out automatically, the replies come in – and you read off who is coming. Anyone without a phone is entered by you on their behalf.

Build first, decide later

Build your app in 2 minutes - your way

Two ways to the same goal. Both free and without sign-up - you only decide once your app is ready.

Free and no obligation. Your design is carried over 1:1.

Frequently asked questions about the Team app

How do I organise availability for training and matches?

In BauDir you create the squad with its roster and enter the events – a match, a training session or another event, individually or as a weekly series. Everyone gets the event in the club app on their phone and replies with one tap: yes, no or unsure. You see four lists with counters at any time and can remind everyone who is still open with one button.

Do players have to sign up or create an account?

No, and that is deliberate: this is the hurdle such systems die at. Everyone gets a personal link they tap once – after that their device recognises them. No password, no sign-up, no email required. Anyone who never redeems the link is entered by the coach on their behalf, so the feature works from day one even with zero activated links.

How do you stop the squad being buried in reminders?

Only people who have not replied get reminded – anyone who has said yes or no hears nothing more. On top of that there is a daily limit per person and event and bundling: whoever is open for three events gets one message instead of three. A new series sends one summary message, not forty individual ones.

Does the squad see who declined – and why?

You decide that per squad. The default is the whole list without reasons: everyone sees who is in and who is out – that is the actual benefit, think car sharing. You can switch to “numbers only” or “own reply only”. The REASON for declining is visible to you alone at every level, and contact details are never visible to another member. This is enforced on the server, not in the app.

Can parents reply for their children?

Yes. A parent gets their own access and is linked to the children; in one list they then see the events of all their children, across squads. Your reply list shows the child with a note that the parents answered – nothing is guessed.

Do you send emails as well, or only push notifications?

Both at once. Push reaches everyone who has the app on their phone; email reaches those who never redeemed the link – and at the start that is most of them. Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works without a login. The whole email route can be switched off for the club.

Can I see how often someone showed up?

Only if you switch it on, and per squad – the attendance rate is OFF by default. In a youth squad it would be a performance assessment of a minor, which is why the switch warns you explicitly. What is counted are acceptances, not attendance checks; cancelled events do not count, and two events do not produce a percentage. Everyone always sees their own rate in their app.

What does the team app cost?

The “Team events” area is part of the Premium plan and is included there at no extra cost and with no volume limit – including the event notifications, which do not count against the weekly push allowance. Cancellable monthly, no setup fee. The trial includes all Premium features, so you can run a whole week of fixtures before deciding.
